Watch Jacynth grow #4

Jacynth is 7 months old! :O

When she was almost 6 months, she tried getting up on her knees all the time.

The next thing we knew, she was doing some sort of crawling and sitting slanted.

the hand got caught under her belly while trying to crawl...

By 6 and a half months, she was sitting up on her own and not long later, doing proper crawling.

If we let her, she'd be under the dining table in no time and in the next moment, somewhere else!

One thing led to another very quickly. She'd try to push herself up on the sofa and her cot to get to a standing position.

Now that she can do it, she's done that for practically everything she can push herself up on!

Out and about!

After the weekend at the farm house, Kevin was back in uni while Agnes spent more time with her sister and family.

They took the bus to the city. It was quite a mammoth task with a baby, a toddler, a stroller (which had to be folded up to be carried up the bus as the buses on the route do not have ramps), and all the shopping stuff. But it was fun!

waiting for the bus to the city...

waiting for the bus to go home...

in the bus... Agnes was in charge of the kids,

her sister, Stacey, was in charge of the stroller while her brother in law, Allan, all the things we bought! :)

They spent time lazing around at home and having a picnic out at the park.

Jacynth couldn't stop touching the screen so her cousin, Kate had to hold her hand... ;)

and she climbed all over her afterwards...

walking to the park...

Allan was the muscle man again...! :D

On their final day here, they spent time at the playground at Sir James Mitchell Park, catching up with Karen and her children. Kevin joined us for dim sum lunch and then it was back to the house for packing up. Time flies when you are having a good time!

Jacynth clearly prefers the porridge her mummy cooks! ;p

Jacynth looking cute in her new haircut. Stacey cut it while Agnes held her very very tightly...

First visitors of the year

Agnes' sister and her family arrived in Perth 3 weeks ago... and more than half of what was their luggage were things for us! Oh, we were so blessed and our lives have not been the same since...

Jacynth and her cousin, Kate, quickly bonded.

We went down south to experience a farm stay and on the way, we stopped by Fremantle, Spudshed (to get our barbeque supplies), Sugarloaf Rock and Canal Rocks...

And then the farm stay experience began.

the must-have barbeque...

... while Jacynth tried out her new walker

pony ride...

feeding the animals...

making sure Jacynth didn't put the chick into her mouth...

picking fresh eggs from the pen...

(and cooking them... while the kids enjoyed the Tinker Bell DVD we loaned)

tractor ride around the 300 acres farm...

just enjoying the fresh air...

and the experience would not have been complete without these friends around - field mice (a horror, really...)!

While down south, we also ate at the self proclaimed "Last Eating House before the Antarctic",

just lazing around...

and took the tram ride on the 2km Busselton Jetty to the Underwater Observatory.

It's a wonder how we survived the trip with our little horrendous non-sleeper! :)
