Here and There

The day for Kevin to leave for his conference in Istanbul fast approaches, not more than a week after moving in to our new place. Kevin's mom has also arrived to see her granddaughter and to help chase after Jacynth (not to mention do the cooking and other things too!) :D

Jacynth again 'helping' her daddy to pack his luggage...

sending Kevin off at the airport... this is the first time we will be separated as a family! :((

Counting our blessings: On the Move Again Part 3

We do not do this often enough but it's time to count our blessings again.

1. Beautiful (read perfect) weather on the day we moved; after a series of rainy and stormy days

2. Jacynth survived the move!

3. We managed to get a new place before we had to vacate the old place, with just enough time to move and clean up

4. The help and support from family and friends during the whole moving process

5. 30 years of God's faithfulness in Agnes' life

At long last, we finished cleaning our old house. That same day, we went for a big celebration... over a scrumptious meal, of course. Kevin did a thorough research and decided that we would "eat greek". It was a marvelous choice and we had a marvelous time! It was probably one of the best buffets we have had, with so many many (good) choices!

As we enjoyed our meal, we fed Jacynth her porridge (and some of the food we were having) but she also found other ways to entertain herself.

'origami' with the serviettes

feed herself (not surprisingly, most of them ended up on the floor)

tear the piece of paper on the table

when she finally had enough of the high chair...

then some photographs around the restaurant...

On the Move Again Part 2

We finally moved to the new place last Thursday. The movers were to arrive at 7.30am so we had to get Jacynth up and ready before that - which is too early for our liking. Anyhow, the day went really well and we even managed a cuppa with Judy and Perry after the move!

Jacynth 'helping' to pack

Agnes carried Jacynth in a sling while the movers did their job. When we were at the new place, she was back in the sling and this time caught a short nap to make up for the early wake-up.

All moved... but it was far from over...

Having fun in the new room

We had all the mess in the second bedroom and Jacynth was thrilled to make that her playground. While this room is much more cleared now, we still have more tidying up to do! Ah! The hassle of moving!

On the Move Again Part 1

We recently had to move again

As we traveled to and fro the old and the new place for what must have seemed like a thousand times, life went on (with a bit of improvisation) for Jacynth.

Eating

Playing with toys (and other things!)

Reading

Napping

Exploring

Unfortunately, we were too busy to give her our full attention all the time, so she had to entertain herself while we packed and cleaned both houses!

Christmas in July

It was Christmas at Agnes' Mothers' Group 2 weeks ago! Since it's winter in this part of the world, they had Christmas at a cold time of the year for a change. Jacynth received her Christmas-themed clothes sized 9 months from her Ah Faa aunty. Who knew, we actually found a perfect time for her to wear it!

All dressed...

All packed...

All here... (see if you can spot Jacynth!)

All ready!

And Jacynth had a go at opening her Christmas gift... ;)

Watch Jacynth grow #6

And so, Jacynth is three quarters of a year old!

Weight: 8 kgs 072 gsm
Length: 69 cm
(measured by child health nurse)

Our little baby is not so 'baby' anymore...

She's added a few new skills to her book - clapping, standing, and yesterday, we are quite sure we heard, "da", "ma" and "bub" in the midst of her nonsensical chatter! ;)

Dressing Up...

Dressing up a baby who will never stay still is really no fun - especially with the many layers required in winter.

Ta-da! Actually, these photos are arranged backwards since they were taken before bath time. ;p It's way easier to take the clothes off than to put them on!

Really precious

 Falling asleep in her stroller.

Really, really precious.
