Kevin's New Journey

Being raised in a Methodist Church in Penang, Kevin was baptized as a baby. Through his young adult years in Multimedia University (MMU) and work in KL, he has always wanted to get confirmed. He was considering getting confirmed back in his home church, but he would have to go through a series of confirmation/ baptism classes, which was impossible since he worked in KL. And of course, since he was attending a Brethren church in KL (where infant baptism is not practiced), there was no chance of him getting confirmed!

So here we are in Perth, as part of the Uniting Church (who are one third Methodist, by the way)... and Kevin is finally getting confirmed! For about 6 weeks, Kevin will be joining 6 other teens from church (Yup, Kevin is the oldest confirmand in the group!) for confirmation classes. And it looks like it's going to be a wild ride!

Lesson 1: Confirmation is like sailing a BIG yacht.

So guess what the confirmands did in the first class!

Unfortunately, Agnes was unable to tag along as there wasn't enough space. And guess what... Agnes was asked to be a part of the teaching team for the confirmation classes, which she gladly accepted. So now you've got the wife teaching the husband in a confirmation class. Isn't that wonderful? :)
