The moon is full

It felt like not long ago when we left the hospital with a small bundle in Agnes' arms. A number of sleep-deprived nights and some 200 diapers later, it's already the end of November. One month passed by way too quickly!

It's a Chinese custom to celebrate baby's first month (better known as 'full moon' to many of us) and Jacynth was 30 days old last Sunday. So we decided to have a small celebration in church since there is no better way to celebrate it but with our 'extended family'. :)

'dress'ing up...

Agnes' mum made some yummy traditional full moon treats - yellow rice and chicken curry (and a vegetarian curry), while we wrapped hard-boiled eggs with red cellophane. We also found some frozen ang ku kuihs from an Asian grocery store. It was quite tasty and our Australian friends actually enjoyed them.

As for Jacynth, she slept through the whole celebration, woke up at the end of it crying to be fed and slept again on the journey home. Ahhh... the life of a baby!

back home and still sleeping...
