From Ipoh back to Penang

Leaving Kate and Jacynth to the care of Agnes' mum, we went to the Sam Poh Cave together with Agnes' cousins to visit her grandparents' memorial.

Then, we went for breakfast and found (what we reckoned was) the best wantan mee in Ipoh and some really yummy fried dumplings/cakes e.g. yau char kuai etc.

Then it was time for MORE travelling as we headed back home to Penang, met with Kevin's parents, and immediately headed out to Sungai Petani in Kedah to visit more of Kevin's uncles and aunties...

Back in Penang after all the travelling, we settled for a great banana leaf rice dinner at a restaurant nearby... yummy!

Suk Suk taking his turn to entertain Jacynth...

Buying some 'muar chee' for breakfast...

Kevin's mom and dad making 'popiah' (chinese spring rolls)

We enjoyed spending time with family just chatting over coffee and fruits late at night...

Steamed cheese rice at Kim Gary's

More and more good food!

Fried bean curds and chicken marinated in belacan.... we kept ordering more and more and couldn't stop eating them!

So full all the time!

Roti jala and roti canai for breakfast(s!)

  2. chu ai, for us we must go new lane for chee cheong fun and char kuey teow, bangkok lane for mamak mee goreng (and ask to tambah sotong!), some food court at bayan lepas for belacan taufu and belacan gizzard, brown garden for roti jala and nasi lemak, opposite padang brown for hokkien mee (have to wait 45mins), nasi kandar outside kevin's house (in front of 8pagi at gelugor heights), pasembur at gurney drive and seafood at payar terubung (opposite graveyard) and end of the world.

haha, i thought you studied there for a good number of years? ;p
