More and more and more travel photos...

The last day of the trip was rather more familiar, as we'd been to most of these places with Preeta, Ka Sing and Chue Poh. The only difference is that it's no longer so cold... and the vines are no longer bare...

Morning outside Augusta Hotel Motel

Another trip to Cape Leeuwin

Captivated by these guys trying to load their boat on the utility vehicle at Hamelin Bay

We had heard from the hotel receptionist in the morning that there had been a bushfire and that some of the roads up North had been closed. With the Victoria bushfires still fresh in the minds of Australians, we were a bit wary. We didn't expect to be driving almost right next to it though, as we headed up to the wineries! But we heard on the radio that the volunteers and firefighters had the situation under control, though a nearby town had already been evacuated.

Wine tasting...

... at Xanadu

and Moss Brothers.

Lunch in the town of Margaret River

Cheese tasting at a dairy factory

Cereal and Nuts factory

Canal Rocks...

It was quite hot on the day, though not as bad as the previous week. Perfect weather for Simmo's ice-cream at Busselton! This is quite contrary to our last trip...

Then it was a 2 hour plus drive back to Perth...

Though tired from all the traveling and driving, Kevin worked on his research proposal before ending the day... in our 2weeks-temporary-bedroom. The sofa bed is surprisingly comfortable and we actually slept there for another 3 nights after Kevin's parents had left!

  1. People commonly travel the world over to see rivers and mountains, new stars, garish birds, freak fish, grotesque breeds of human; they fall into an animal stupor that gapes at existence and they think they have seen something.
